The Scituate Tides have won their fourth straight MSBL National League title and the franchise's sixth title in the last eight seasons, after defeating the Natick Knights two games to none (9-8, 15-3) in the best-of-three MSBL NL Championship Series.

Mike Barthel was named the postseason MVP, going 13-for-27 (.481 Avg.) with 11 RBIs, 9 runs, and 2 home runs for the Tides, while Rob Monti anchored the pitching staff with a 4-0 postseason record and a 1.13 ERA.

Congratulations to the Scituate Tides on winning the 2012 MSBL NL championship, and hats off to the Natick Knights for the gutsy performance they displayed in the Finals. They should be commended on an exceptional season and a great postseason run.

As for the Tides — a dynasty is born.
