2018 BMBL season is underway

The 2018 Boston Men's Baseball League season is officially underway, as the MSBL MetroWest division kicked things off on this beautiful sunny day in Boston.

The Framingham Orioles, defending MetroWest champions, continued where they left off, defeating the Northborough Cardinals 17-1 at Mooney Field in Southborough.

In a wild game out in Northborough, the Worcester Pirates put up 7 runs in the 6th and 5 runs in the 7th to come back and tie the game 13-13, after trailing the Northborough Phillies 12-1 through 3 innings.

Their miraculous comeback would be short lived however, as the Phillies went on to score 10 more runs in the 8th and regain the lead for good, walking away with the wild 23-13 opening day victory.

Regular season action continues on Sunday, April 29th with four games scheduled in the MetroWest division.

The MABL 18+ division gets things started on Saturday night, April 28th, as the Grays battle the Spinners and the Sox face the defending champion Athletics.

The MSBL 28+ division gets underway on Sunday, April 29th with a slate of four early morning games scheduled.

And finally, the MSBL Masters division begins tomorrow night, April 23rd, with three night games scheduled north of the city.

We should be in store for another exciting season in the Boston Men's Baseball League. As a reminder, every player must complete this waiver before stepping on the field.

Best of luck to all teams in 2018!
