Bombers reclaim MSBL 28+ Championship

With an 8-4 victory over the Cardinals in Game 3 of the 2020 MSBL 28+ Finals on their home field in East Boston, the Boston Bombers completed a 7-0 sweep of the 2020 postseason, clinching the franchise's third (2015, 2016, 2020) MSBL 28+ title. Remarkably, in their three championship seasons, the Bombers now have a combined unbeaten record of 19-0 in the postseason.
Marc DesRoches led the way offensively for the No. 1-seeded Bombers, going 16 for 26 (.615), with 7 doubles and 12 RBI in the postseason. As a team, the Bombers' offense combined to hit .375 with 3 HR's, while averaging 8.14 runs per game.
The Bombers pitching staff, made up of Sean Sullivan (2-0, 14 IP, 0.50 ERA, 1 ER), Scott MacDonald (3-0, 15 IP, 0.93 ERA, 2 ER), Dan Godfrey (2-0, 11 IP, 3.82 ERA, 6 ER), and Bryan Saffelle (0-0, 9 IP, 0.78 ERA, 1 ER), assembled a collective 7-0 record and 1.43 ERA, allowing just 10 earned runs in seven postseason games.
