JM Force wins MSBL NL championship

2013 MSBL NL Champions - JM Force

One year after winning the MSBL American League title with a perfect 29-0 season, JM Force has won the MSBL National League championship in their first season since switching divisions.

The 2013 MSBL NL champs produced a perfect 7-0 record in the postseason, including series wins over the No. 7-seeded Braintree Braves, No. 3-seeded Somerville Senators, and the No. 1-seeded Boston Bombers.

Heading into Game 3 of the Finals with a 2-0 series lead over the Bombers, JM Force capped off their undefeated postseason run with an 8-6 victory.

Trailing 8-2 heading into the bottom of the 6th, a very good Bombers team battled back to score four runs in the inning and cut JM Force's lead to 8-6.

Clinging on to just the 2-run lead, JM Force would bring in last night's winning pitcher Darwin Mesa, who tossed a 1-2-3 inning to earn the save and help secure the 2013 MSBL NL championship.

Congratulations to JM Force on becoming the first team to win a championship in both the MSBL American and MSBL National Divisions, and hats off to the Boston Bombers on a great season and the franchise's first finals appearance.
