About Boston Metro Baseball League
The Boston Metro Baseball League (BMBL) is the largest amateur baseball league in New England. The league currently consists of 41 teams across three age divisions (18+, 28+, and 38+), satisfying the needs of amateur baseball players of all ages.
Prior to 2022, the league was referred to as the Boston Men's Baseball League. The league was rebranded to change the word "Mens" to "Metro", for two reasons. First, the league has grown to play beyond Boston, expanding to suburbs across greater Boston and its metropolitan area. And secondly, the league has been inclusive to all players, regardless of gender, for decades. It is time for the name to reflect that.
From 1988 - 2021, the BMBL was the local chapter of the national Men's Adult Baseball League (MABL) / Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL). As the BMBL rose in popularity on its own, a decision was made to discontinue our national affiliation. Still, this relationship held for over a quarter of a century, and is one the BMBL will always take great pride in.

HOW CAN I JOIN THE BMBL?
We are always looking to grow our league by adding more players and teams. If you are a player looking to join a team, please click here to sign up. Your information will be made available to the all of the team managers in the age division(s) that you selected. National Tournaments
Although we are no longer an affiliate of the MABL and MSBL nationally, the Boston Metro Baseball League still actively participates in national tournaments hosted by various organizations.
The MABL/MSBL hosts several national tournaments still open to all BMBL members, including the "Holiday Classic" in Orlando every February, the "Kickoff Classic" in Las Vegas every March, the MABL/MSBL World Series in Arizona every October, and the Fall Classic in Florida every November, with the games held on MLB Spring Training fields.
Another widely attended event by BMBL member teams is the World Series hosted by Roy Hobbs, which takes place in Fort Myers, Florida every October and November.
Our teams also actively participate in the Cooperstown Classic every Father's Day weekend, held at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
If there is a baseball tournament being held around the country, our team managers will find them, all for the opportunity to play more baseball year round.
