Bombers sweep their way to MSBL NL title

2015 MSBL NL Champs - Boston Bombers

The top-seeded Boston Bombers (20-4) have won their first MSBL 28+ NL title, defeating the Somerville Senators (14-10) 1-0 in Game 3 of the 2015 MSBL NL Championship Series to complete a clean sweep (6-0) of the 2015 postseason.

A big component to the Bombers' postseason success was their dominant pitching staff, which combined to produce a 0.54 ERA, giving up a total of just three runs, including shutout performances in four out of their six postseason games.

Offensively, the Bombers hit an impressive .375 (59-157) as a team in the postseason, including seven doubles, a triple, and three home runs. The offense was led by league-MVP Dave Lightbody, who went 9-for-17 (.529) with a home run and 6 RBIs.

Congratulations to the Boston Bombers on winning the 2015 MSBL NL championship and the franchise's first title, and hats off to the Somerville Senators on a great postseason run and their first Finals appearance since 2009.
