Newton pulls off second '3-peat' in franchise history

2015 MSBL AL Champions - Newton Red Sox

The Newton Red Sox have won the 2015 MSBL American League title after defeating the South Shore Giants 4-0 in Game 4 of the best-of-five Finals, thanks in large part to their ace pitcher Yulkin German, who tossed a complete-game 1-hitter while striking out 12.

This marks the franchise's seventh title and second "three-peat" performance (2005-2007, 2013-2015) in the last eleven seasons, becoming the first franchise in BMBL history to achieve this feat.

With seven titles now under their belt, the Newton Red Sox are tied with the Metro Red Sox of the MSBL Masters Division for the most championships by a franchise in BMBL history.

Congratulations to the Newton Red Sox on winning the 2015 MSBL AL title and continuing to build upon their dynasty.

Also, a tip of the cap goes out to the South Shore Giants on a tremendous season and for reaching the Finals in the team's first postseason appearance.
