At LeLacheur Park in Lowell, the Atlantic Conference All-Stars topped the Baystate Conference All-Stars for the second year in a row, 6-4.

The Braves' Chris O'Sullivan tossed two scoreless innings for the win. The Rockies' Chris Clark took the loss. The Yankees' Ken Kilduff pitched two hitless innings for the Atlantic All-Stars to earn the save.

In the 2nd inning, Clark loaded the bases on two walks and a hit batsman, and Jon Mead of the White Sox drilled a 2-run double to give the Atlantic side a lead it would never relinquish. Mead was chosen as M.V.P. by the iMassRadio broadcast team for his efforts. The Atlantic All-Stars extended their lead to 3-0 in the inning on a sacrifice fly by the Broncos' Frances Peguero.

In the 3rd, the Marlins' Chris Ryan singled home Al Wiesner of the White Sox (2 hits), who had singled and stolen second base, to increase the lead to 4-0. Ryan reached base in all three plate appearances with the hit and two walks.

In the top of the 4th, the Baystate All-Stars cut the lead in half when 2 runners scored on a forceout by the Cardinals' Dan Jalbert. The Atlantic squad came back in the bottom of the inning and extended its lead to 5-2 on an RBI double by the Royals' Greg Kosc.

The Baystaters chipped away, picking up single runs in the 6th and 7th on an RBI single by the Astros' Matt Cronin and on a steal of third by Al Becker of the Mets and a throwing error that allowed Becker to score.

A pair of Cubs combined to provide the final margin in the bottom of the 8th as Brian Delaney (2 hits) singled home Mike Ferris for a 6-4 lead.

For the Baystate All-Stars, in addition to those already mentioned, Billy MacDougall of the Cardinals, Jeremy Broadwell of the Diamondbacks, Gary Moran of the Rockies and Sean Kennedy of the Astros also picked up base hits. Dan Shanahan started on the mound and threw a strong inning, allowing a single and striking out 2. The Reds' Ryan Chase, Kennedy, and the Mets' Bill Beauchesne (2 strikeouts) each tossed a scoreless frame in defeat.

For the victors, in addition to those already mentioned, Mike McInnis of the White Sox and Ferris each stroked base hits. Ariel Martinez of the Royals joined O'Sullivan and Kilduff as the only Atlantic hurlers not to allow a run by tossing a scoreless 5th.
