Check Presentation:
On Thursday, April 29th, the Boston Men's
Baseball League presented Shonda and Curt Schilling and the ALS Association Massachusetts
Chapter with Curt's Pitch for ALS a check for $112,000 from money raised during the
100 Innings of Baseball Spectacular. ALS patient, Kathy Rivers, threw out the ceremonial
first pitch before the game. The Red Sox went on to defeat the Devil Rays 7-3, their
6th straight win. Then on May 29th (Lou Gehrig Day), award-winning sports director
for CBS, Bob Lobel, presented the BMBL organizers an award for their efforts at the
Fenway Park Players Club.
